Title – How Picturebooks are used as a tool to support the understanding of LGBTQ+ issues.
This study will examine how picture books can be used to support an understanding of LGBTQ+ issues in primary schools. The project will use a community of practice approach to explore how teachers use and respond to a range of picture books with an LGBTQ+ theme. The aim of the project is to understand the different uses of picture books as part of a primary curriculum including LGBTQ+ issues.
